notes of a madman

I hope I finally got myself a secretary worth a damn.  I hate to start with a cliché, but it was a dark and stormy night in Pensacola.  The fella's name was lost to the sands of time, but I do remember that he was some Ventrue fella who was Prince at the time.  A real evil-hearted son of a gun, liked to rip people's hearts out and smash them, that's all I really remember about the guy.  I guess it was a good lesson.  Well, apparently, the other Kindred of the city didn't like the way he taught school.  So, the Brujah took it upon themselves as one of their 'causes,' if you will, to take him out.  One of their number, some schmuck by the name of Sean, with his brother Patrick second in charge, took in on themselves to run the affairs of Pensacola.  Well, this guy Sean, with all his heart didn't have his brain in the right place, I think it was in his feet.  He wasn't too popular, either.  Now, pay attention, Buddy, cause this is where things start to get interesting for a change.  At this time in the City's history, there was all sorts of crazy things going on, there was some Dame up to her nose in our affairs, the City was without a Prince..  and all the Clans kinda got along for once, probably because they didn't have some aristocrat in charge to run things for 'em.  I never knew why they made a decision to do it, but the Clans, in a fit of idiocy decided to appoint Yours Truly to the seat of Princedom.  Unfortunately, the position of Seneschal was more difficult to fill, but that's not really relevant, so I'll get to the good stuff.

Right...  the good stuff.  There wasn't any real good stuff, to speak of.  I wasn't Prince for too long, it wasn't really my bag, Baby.  And about this time, Patrick decides he should be Prince because Dear old dead brother was Prince, and he was second in command.  So, I said, "Fine, if the schmuck wants to be Prince, let him be Prince."  Patrick didn't last long either.  Well, after Patrick's unsuccessful ascension to the Throne and subsequent departure, my good 'ol buddy, and co-conspirator, Daimien LeTrey became Prince.  And for a while, he did a pretty swell job at it.  Lots of stuff happened at this point, that Dame reporter finally got caught, killed, and reborn as LeTrey's childe.  I became the Sheriff of Pensacola, a familiar face from the past made himself known, lots of stuff.  I got to meet Sasquach, AKA Bigfoot, AKA Hairy Bastard.  Never knew he was a philosopher.  That noble fellow Ravage bit it (the big one, that is).  And the Sabbat attacked us.  Yeah, I remember that one really well.  Got to prove to everybody how 'handy' I was.  Even got to meet my arch-nemesis; Jack Clone.  I felt a bit weak having to pull a two-face on him, but I guess I'm just as egotistical and self-centered as the rest of them, that I so despise.  Yeah, there was a lot of unusual faces during that time, people came and went, but we always had a certain 'core gang' in Pensacola.  Yeah, it was Damien, myself (of course), that kinda queer fella Richie, the reclusive Adam Warr, that dame; Chevalie-something-a, the French bitch, Guillome, his lackey Patrick or something, not be confused with that guy earlier in my story.  This guy's a Tremere bitch, kind of a curious guy, if you ask me.  What else was going on in Pensacola at the time?...   Yeah, that up-and-comer, Durst, yeah, he showed up at that time.  Always thought that kid would do something with himself.  Doubt that I'll ever see it, though.  Oh yeah, and there was Posey, the OTHER Anarch.  Yeah, Posey was a good fellow.  Now, I don't mean Main-man or anything, just a nice guy.  Yeah, I think there was something to do with the dog-boys, but I never got involved with that.  Yeah, that was someone else's problem.  Man, I was the Sheriff for crying out loud.  I can't really say much more at this point, cause I've got a party in Atlanta to go to.
