Florida White Sands Conclave Convention........well we were able to raise the money necessary for the convention. Monies were donated from very few of us indeed, but kudos to those who could and did help.
Charity Drives:
Camarilla member in good standing Miryea Shasteen is coordinating an ongoing
aluminium can recycling drive. Any memeber can donate empty (preferably
rinsed out) aluminium drink cans to her, and she will see that they are
recycled, and that the moneys garnered from this will go to a local charity.
In the past, proceeds have gone to Ronald McDonald House of Pensacola
(located behind Sacred Heart Hospital). She is also working with a local
business, Washington Mutual Finance, who is donating to her their recyclable
cans. Any donations to her by Camarilla members is worth Prestige, and as
ususal the amount is up to CC approval. Keep track of your donations, and
get with the CC ([email protected]) to claim your prestige.
Also, the tabs from the drink cans can be turned in as well for
additional Prestige. These tabs will go to a childrens hospital in southern
Florida that specializes in children with terminal or specialized illnesses.
The staff uses these tabs as a form of money for the children. The tabs are
either given the children via donations, or earned by the children by other
means, and the children can turn these tabs in to the staff of the hospital
to 'purhcase' such fun extra things as pizza, small toys, coloring books,
ect. All tabs collected by the Chapter will be shipped to the hospital, and
distributed evenly throughout the child patients. Our Chapter CC, Steve

We are looking into a trip to the Birmingham, Al. game as well this will be in the near future and i will post it as soon as I have a date.
